So Shawn and I are taking a finance class together this semester. Our teacher is very nice and I like the way she teaches, unlike our cost accounting teacher.... but that can be a whole separate post. Anway, she is very nice. However, she has a ver distinct Chinese accent and sometimes I struggle to understand some of the things she is saying. It is a good thing Shawn is in that class with me because he understands her better and is my translator sometimes. :) Let me give you an idea of some of the things that she says and what they sound like:
Module sounds like Mojo
Bank sounds like Bon
Bond sounds like Bong
Growth sounds like Gross
Thousand sounds like Seven
I know there are some more, but I can't think of them right now. She is so nice and I think she knows that people struggle to understand her sometimes so she will write the words on the board for us. Well today she was teaching us about the "Bid-Ask spread". I'm sure you can only imagine what that sounded like coming from her! lol You'd think that college students would be a little bit more mature, but apparently we're not because most of the class was kind of chuckling because she just kept saying it over and over! I'm pretty sure that was the only thing that most of the class remembered from today's lecture. lol

LOL ah yes it's good to know that even adults can still act like Jr high kids when they hear a word like Poop! haha I miss you guys!
Ha! That is funny. It's been forever since I've blog surfed and I didn't know that you started your own cooking blog! We should seriously combine blogs so we can put ours, Brooke's, and Mom's recipes on there too.
