Valentines Day and Cooking Adventures!

So, I have such a great husband. Shawn and I both had to work on Valentines day last week so we decided to just celebrate Valentines on Wednesday this week on the 18th because we have that day off. Well last Thursday Shawn said he was going to go to the gym after work for a bit. I have not been the most enthusiastic about going to the gym lately so I told him I'd meet him at home. So I got home and was sitting at the table doing homework and I hear him opening the door and he tells me to close my eyes. When I opened them, this is what I saw:

Now for our cooking adventure story...

So, I usually cook dinner and Shawn will usually do the dishes, but we started getting tired of that because I don't always love cooking dinner by myself and Shawn doesn't always love doing dishes by himself so we decided we would start doing it together. Well, this is what happened when Shawn helped me cook dinner for the first time...



Now if you can't tell exactly what this is, let me explain. We were making my mom's delicious sloppy joe sauce so we could make sloppy joes. This is a picture of the recipe card. I had set it on the stove on the burner next to the one I was cooking the sauce on. Shawn started to cook the hamburger but he accidentally turned on the wrong burner and this is what we were left with! At least it didn't start on fire and we could still read the recipe! lol
